I love film and television more then anything else but no one can ever deny that we are all looking forward to what people are wearing (as much as we want to know the winners).
I thought I would share my own take on the fashion flops and the ladies who really hit a not up top!
Well to kick off my analysis I start with my least favorite celebrity (but great musician, don’t get it wrong), Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera. I loved this dress from the color, the fit, the style, everything is just perfect. I think I am just bored of Taylor because she is just so PREDICTABLE it’s DESPICABLE. The dress was bold and really stood out but I think a change in hair and make up (fed up of the bob and red lips!) could have made a bigger difference.
Lupita Nyong’o an AFRICAN ORIGINAL from Kenya blew away everyone in this beautiful Ralph Lauren Dress with the matching cape. Little effort but big impact! It is her international film debut and I haven’t watched 12 Years A Slave but it must be a good movie with almost 400 award nominations and already 100 plus of which have been won. Though they weren’t so lucky at the Golden Globes but they took home one of the major awards for Best Motion Picture: Drama.
She looked absolutely flawless! Her natural beauty is just so radiant she complimented the dress on her own. A little lesson we can learn wear a strong piece and few or softer jewelry and accessories.
Making Africa Proud!!
I would have loved this dress had it not had the office chemise thing going on!! It was just so “going to the office” and “soccer mom gone office”! Lame lame lame. Make this stop, its a red carpet not your personal office!
One of my favorite people when it comes to fashion and style: JENNIFER LAWRENCE. She is currently on a hot winning streak in all aspects at the moment. Her performance in American Hustle was great and she deserved to win.
The dress is by Dior (being that she is currently the face of the brand). It was just absolutely stunning and everything about this ensemble worked. There is no “maybe she could have”, “maybe she should have”, it is just absolutely perfect.
She has never managed to disappoint. She is truly an awesome role model for style and you can never really go wrong.
She made the “Miley hair” sophisticated and has been rocking Dior better then any other previous face of the brand! :) LOVE IT!!
Sofia Vergara just stunned (as always). She looked so gorgeous leaving behind the mermaid silhouette for an elegant ball gown.
At the age of 41, she is proof that you choose to age. Just absolutely gorgeous. Showing less of her shapely body but a change is always nice.
She managed to do the ball gown without looking like a gothic bride. Perfection!
Lorraine Schwartz necklace and the gown is by Zac Posen
So Emma Stone presented Woody Allen’s Lifetime Achievement Award… Well, um, this is awkward. She is presenting one of the most prestigious awards film and television yet she looks like a hot mess.
I was really disappointed and thought that she could learn more from her previous mistakes. I just hate everything about this hair, make up, the compilation. The pieces are great on their own it was just the putting together.
Next time, hire someone else to style you woman!! You are an A-list actress not some boho floozy on the street… Tsk tsk!
Anyways , I think that is enough to keep me sick for a very long time.
